2. Nature of the Service — Information and Research Tool

Our Services are designed to help you find legal documents and information faster, by accessing official legal texts (Légifrance, codes in force) and generating administrative letter templates. You expressly understand and acknowledge that:

• TheLawGPT does not replace a lawyer. The information provided by our Services does not constitute legal advice and should not be treated as a substitute for professional legal counsel.
• AI can make mistakes. Our AI models generate content based on training data and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. You must always verify information with official sources.
• Mandatory verification. You are entirely responsible for verifying any information provided by our Services with legal professionals or official sources (Légifrance, courts, administrations) before making decisions or taking actions.
• Generated documents. Letters and documents generated by TheLawGPT are templates for informational purposes. They must be proofread, adapted to your specific situation, and validated by a professional if necessary.
• Public sources. Legal information comes from public sources (Légifrance, official codes) and is processed by AI to facilitate access and understanding.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of our Services, you may need to create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials.
• Be solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

Some of our Services are offered on a subscription basis. By subscribing to a paid plan:

• You agree to pay all fees in accordance with the billing terms in effect at the time of your initial subscription or renewal.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, unless canceled before the renewal date.
• You authorize us to charge your designated payment method for all incurred fees.
• No refunds will be granted for partial months of service or unused features.
• In case of downgrading to a lower subscription, you will not receive a refund for the unused portion of your current subscription period. However, any unused credits or prepaid amounts will be applied to your next subscription period.

Free Trial Eligibility and Abuse

We offer a free trial to new users to evaluate our Services. This trial is limited to one per person, household, or payment method.

To prevent abuse, we monitor usage patterns and payment methods. If we detect that the same payment method, account credentials, or other identifiers have been used to create multiple accounts, we reserve the right to immediately terminate the free trial and initiate subscription billing.

We use secure and anonymized methods to detect duplicate or abusive activities, including, but not limited to, tracking encrypted versions of payment card information.

5. User Content
